Majority stolen from mk

All of this information in quotations was posted by MK yesterday and I felt that more people needed to read this shit so i decided to repost it. (i hope you dont mind and such)

"John Roberts, Supreme Court nominee under George W. Bush.
Principles:
1. Abortion rights completely revoked. Quote given, something along the lines of "Roe vs. Wade was wrongfully decided and it is a fundamental duty of the American government to ban it completely before more infant murder is perpetrated."
2. Does not believe that private developers should take the Endagered Species Protection Act into consideration when developing properties. Quote given, something along the lines of "why not let frogs just die?"
3. Flag burning and the simulation of flag burning in any production completely prohibited.
4. Prayer and public acknowledgement of (ostensibly exclusively Christian) religion in public schools, prayer circles, graduation, etc. relegalized and put into action.
5. Children even 12 and under would be able to be arrested and searched for minor offenses.
6. The Geneva Convention should not be upheld in terms of punishment and torture ethics, particularly in the case of polital and fundamental opponents such as Al Qaeda and similar "threatening" organizations. Basically, Roberts does not believe the United States should be held accountable to the Geneva Convention.

ALSO: large box showing other fundamental principles of the Bush administration and movements surrounding.
Something along the lines of "persuasive tactics sanctioned with political prisoners in Guantanamo etc. include covering prisoners in fake menstrual blood, putting thong underwear over their faces, using tethers (leashes), and threatening them with a military German Shepard."

ALSO: I've been informed by Mr. Oglesby of the appointment of a Mr. Bolton as the UN Ambassador, who was highly involved in the investigations and presentations of faulty information which led to the Iraq War. This appointment was stragetically executed by Executive orders granted to Mr. Bush through the Constitution during the Congressional August break, much to the chagrin of Congressional minority leaders who wish to filibuster his appointment for obvious reasons. This includes moderate Republicans and Independents. They will be unable to contest the appointment until this Congressional session ends in 2007."

I also found out that John Roberts only has TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE as a judge....hmm not a fucking lot if you consider that he's going into the highest court in the fucking country.

but yeah...it really is a fucking outrage

btw just to add this in, i doubt that there is much that we can do to stop him, but if you would like to speak out against the nomination of john roberts you can go to http://political.moveon.org/roberts/ to do so.
